We all have a story. We all can decide how that story will unfold.
Growing up, I was the snotty nosed kid. As a teen, if I ate the wrong foods, I would have excruciating headaches, an itchy throat, and swollen eyes. As a young adult, I had terrible PMS or some form of gut pain.
At the time, I knew nothing about a failed immune system, histamine intolerances and how my food and lifestyle choices affected me.
Soon after, I was faced with the failing health of family members and dear friends and I felt helpless. I desired to be more of a resource in their healing but was ill equipped.
Because of my lack of understanding of how these symptoms and systems were interconnected, I decided to take a job in the health industry to learn more about the human body and disease states. This caused me to make a few changes to my lifestyle but it wasn't enough.
I then spent my forties completely unaware of the storm that was brewing in my body until I reached a point of such intense burnout that it was difficult for me to function. Perimenopause, which hit me like a ton of bricks, compounded my underlying symptoms.
In the midst of me reaching my rock bottom, it was also a path to my soul’s purpose. It was the wake-up call I needed. I researched and met some amazing functional health providers, did some functional tests and learned how to use healing foods, stress support, supplements and movement to calm my immune system, manage my health issues and get my life back.
I then enrolled in night school and took pre-requisites in order to apply for a Master’s in Clinical Nutrition. Once completed, and now feel aligned with my true purpose, I made the decision to help and empower others struggling with similar issues and to help people like you.
You don’t have to do this whole “get my health together” alone. I’m here for you - let’s talk!
