I practice an integrative approach to health and wellness, which means I analyze your body’s metabolism, I look at how all areas of your life are connected and see how they contribute to your symptoms.
Most of my clients already have ideas about nutrition yet come to me feeling frustrated and stuck with at least one of the following health concerns:
New Season of Wellness offers a unique blend of integrative functional nutrition and nutritional psychology to fully support clients.
To help you reach your health goals, we will discuss your health & symptom history, your thoughts on food and how you relate to it, lifestyle habits and how your relationships may be affecting you. I’ll utilize lab testing to see if there are some metabolic issues contributing to your symptoms. I’ll then make recommendations utilizing nourishing foods, supplements, lifestyle enhancements, and mind-body eating psychology techniques. We will follow-up to see how you’re improving and make tweeks as necessary.
New Season of Wellness core concepts:
As my teacher says, “There are as many right ways of eating as there are people on the planet”. He’s right. Rather than adhere to one specific dietary theory as “the one”, we match which styles of eating best support your body, condition and lifestyle right now. This is different for everyone and varies at different times of your life. My approach is not to dwell on specific calories. Instead, I work with my clients to create a style of eating that integrates high quality, whole foods nutrition as well as pleasure and nourishment. What we ingest, including food and thought, has potential to affect our bodies at a cellular level. We honor both.
Many underlying health conditions can go undetected for years, leaving you feeling frustrated and hopeless. Functional lab testing is important as it helps to identify the root cause of any health problems in order to eliminate symptoms. Testing is a priority and assists with true healing and restoration of health to occur. My approach is test and not guess.
There may be other areas in your life that are calling for attention via your challenges with health and food. These include the areas of rest, pleasure, movement, spirituality, core beliefs, purpose, work in the world, and relationships. Your life and health challenges have a brilliance and wisdom to them. Rather than solely focusing on “fixing a problem” we use health challenges and concerns as a powerful and symbolic platform for growth, change, and deeper self-understanding. This is the stuff that holistic health is made of.
